Maria Antónia graduated in 1990 at the Catholic University, Escola de Lisboa, and became a postgraduate student at the Faculty of Higher Education of the University of Lisbon. This lawyer since 1992, her activity has been focused, above all, in the area of Corporate and Commercial law.
She started as a trainee lawyer at João Morais Leitão & Associados, worked at Banco Privado Português in 1999 and returned to Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva & Associados, where she was a partner in the Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions area until 2009. Later , practiced law at Carlos Aguiar, Ferreira de Lima & Associados, where he left to found CODE Legal in 2016.
She has extensive experience in advising in the areas of Commercial Law, Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, having led numerous operations, both national and international, of acquisitions, mergers and divisions of companies, corporate restructuring, M&A, commercial contracts, joint ventures and real estate operations. Provides legal support on a regular basis to several national and international companies.
She is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association.
Speaks Portuguese, French, English and Spanish.
